The Edinburgh Makars present

SEASON'S GREETINGS
by Alan Ayckbourn
Wednesday 11 to Saturday 21 August (not Sunday 15 August) at 7.30 pm
Murrayfield Parish Church Centre
Tickets: £10 (£8.50 conc) available from the
Fringe Box Office - 0131 226 0000
Or www.edinburghmakars.com
or at the door during the run.
Ayckbourn's black but hilarious comedy about a dysfunctional family Christmas. Nevelle prefers his garden shed to his fussy wife Belinda. They have invited seven friends and relatives. Bernard, a feeble doctor with an alcoholic wife (Phyllis), is obsessed with the puppet show he puts on each year. Eddie is a failed entrepreneur with a nagging, pregnant wife (Pattie). Belinda's emotially confused sister, Rachel, has invited Clive, a suave writer, whose wandering eye soon leads to trouble. Harvey, a belligerent military type, completes the slide into mayhem. A very funny exposure of human frailty with moments of high farce.

MURRAYFIELD CHURCHES TOGETHER

Murrayfield Churches together (MCT) member churches are:

Church of the Good Shepherd (Scottish Episcopal Church)

Murrayfield Parish Church (Church of Scotland)

Saughtonhall United Reformed Church

The Murrayfield Local Ecumenical Project was formally constituted on 4th October 1987, but like many other developments of significance, its history did not start then. Twenty years before, the ministers of Murrayfield Parish Church, the Church of the Good Shepherd and Saughtonhall Congregational Church decided to worship together on Good Friday and share the passion of Christ’s crucifixion. The project was renewed in 1994 for a second seven year commitment and again in 2001 and 2008.
